Summary Predictive regression equations were generated to estimate total length of the B razilian flathead ( P ercophis brasiliensis ) fish using skull and pectoral girdle bones as well as specific body and otolith lengths. All regressions were statistically significant. The features of bone and external body regressions evidently have the capability to increase the amount of dietary information obtainable from stomach content analyses of the S outhwest A tlantic piscivores.
