A technique for measuring a patient's progress and outcome in group psychotherapy is presented. The various measured parameters are derived from the Symptom Check List plus individualized repertory grid rating scales. This measurement model was tested on an out-patient group over 18 months and shows potential as a device for measuring outcome in diverse types of psychotherapy groups.
