Some of the major findings of ten years' research are reviewed. The main issues are concerned with the impact of inflation on perceptions of prices, pay and pay increases, as well as comprehension problems connected with inflation. Finally the implications of the research are examined for policy‐makers engaged in the search for a workable incomes policy.
