Verification was sought for the assumption by Köhler & Wallach that figural after‐effect is a phenomenon specific to any given sense modality. Results contradicted Köhler & Wallach and Jaffe, as concurrent stimulation in different sense modalities affected significantly the figural after‐effects occurring in other sense modalities in the absence of any size relation between the stimuli. The results support the hypothesis of sensory interaction, suggested by Soviet researches.
