speech of normal subjects is impaired when subject hears himself speak a fraction of a second after uttering, that is, when auditory feed‐back is delayed. A study was made of individual differences in showing this impairment. It was found that those showing impairment in marked fashion were likely to have high scores in tests of other kinds of ‘perseveration’.
