S ummary . We reported previously from successive testing of an age‐group of girls at ages 7, 9, 11 and 13, that those who reached puberty before age 12: 3 had a slight but consistent superiority in average intelligence test score. A further testing of a selected sample from this group at age 16 suggests that this superiority diminishes as the late developers reach puberty.
