S ummary . The major function of a psychology course for student‐teachers is to cultivate the student's insight into the thoughts and motives of ordinary children. A brief account is given of various methods used at a particular college for this purpose. Reference is is also made to the problem of ensuring an effective discipline of students' thinking on the academic content of the course.
