The Richard Hartley Clinical Prize, sponsored by Arnolds Veterinary Products, was won in 1982 by Mr Tim Greet for his papers ‘Observations on the potential role of oesophageal radiography in the horse’ and ‘Windsucking treated by myectomy and neurectomy’, which appeared in the January and October issues of EVJ on pages 73–79 and 299–301, respectively. Mr Greet used the prize money to visit Hong Kong, spending some of his time at the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club, and his experiences of the small but populous colony are reported here.
