Résumé Seize médicaments cytotoxiques employés dans le traitement chimiothérapique du cancer chez l'Homme sont étudiés pour leur action cytopathique sur les fibrosarcomes, sur les mélanomes du cheval et sur les cellules pulmonaires normales du cheval in vitro. Trois substances, la vincristine, le melphalam et le methotrexate ont une activité cytopathique. Zusammenfassung Sechzehn cytotoxische Medikamente, die in der Krebsbehandlung bei Menschen Verwendung finden, wurden auf ihre cyto‐pathische Wirkung auf das equine Fibrosarkom, das Melanom und auf normale equine Lungenzellen in vitro untersucht. Drei der Medikamente — Vincristin, Melphalan und Methotrexat —übten einen cytopathischen Effekt aus. Summary Sixteen cytotoxic drugs used in cancer chemotherapy in man were studied for cytopathic effect on equine fibrosarcoma, melanoma and normal equine lung cells in vitro. Three drugs, vincristine, melphalan and methotrexate, produced cytopathic effect.
