SUMMARY During 30 years clinical experience in equine obstetrics, certain conditions have been studied in some detail and a few of those which are of importance to the equine practitioner are discussed here. The pathogenesis treatment, and prognosis of these conditions is emphasised. RÉSUMÉ Au cours de 30 années d'expérience clinique en obstétrique équine, certaines conditions ont été particulièrement étudiées. Quelques unes d'entre elles, importantes pour le spécialiste équin, sont discutées. On insiste sur la pathogénie, le traitement et le pronostic de ces conditions. ZUSAMMENFASSUNG 30 Jahre klinischer Erfahrung in equiner Geburtshilfe erlaubten die detaillierte Beobachtung bestimmter Krankheitszustände; einige davon, die für den Pferdepraktiker von Bedeutung sind, werden hier diskutiert. Pathogenese, Behandlung und Prognose dieser Zustände werden hervorgehoben.
