THE PROJECT WAS DUBBED the “Binder of the Future,” and it was a collaborative venture sponsored by the Avery Dennison Corporation, the Art Center College of Design, and the MBA Program of the University of Southern California. The outcomes of four proposals for innovative work‐related products that included business plans and marketing strategies were presented. But as told by Ted Shida, the real lessons learned had to do with teamwork and the effective integration of the very different perspectives held by the design and the business students.
