Electron microprobe analyses of olivine, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, plagioclase feldspar, chromite, whitlockite, apatite, troilite and metals indicate that the Vilna meteorite is a hypersthene chondrite belonging to the L5 or L6 subgroups.
