Emission spectrographic analyses for vanadium and copper in sixty‐seven chondritic meteorites including members from ordinary, carbonaceous, and enstatite chondrite groups give a total range of 41–84 ppm vanadium and a total range of 77–180 ppm copper. The respective average values are 61 ± 7 ppm and 115 ± 12 ppm. Detailed patterns of vanadium and copper distributions between different chondrite groups are discussed in light of recent mechanisms for chemical fractionations in meteorites
