The similarity of the morphology of Goalpara and Nova Urei and sheared Coconino sandstone is demonstrated. On the assumption that they are generically related, the problems of metamorphosis are analyzed. On this basis a model secondary meteorite is constructed. It is concluded that known physical and chemical functions need not be extrapolated beyond reasonable possibilities to explain the metamorphosis of Coconino to Goalpara and Nova Urei. These considerations, if valid, might throw some light on the apparent bunching of cosmic exposure ages of certain meteorites.
