A new 209‐lb. meteorite, a medium octahedrite, from the vicinity of Loreto, Baja California, Mexico, found about 1896, at longitude 111° 20′ W., latitude 26° 00′ N., is described. The similarity between it and the Morito, Chihuahua, Mexico, meteorite, known since 1600, found at longitude 105° 40′ W., latitude 27° 53′ N., is discussed. Some significance is attached to the fractures in the Loreto iron. Loreto and Morito are proposed as possibly “paired” falls.
