It is proposed that any subclass of meteorite that may in future be required be named for the fall that proves to be the archetype of the subclass; e.g ., if the Norton County, Kansas‐Furnas County, Nebraska (1000,400), fall of 1948 February 18 be found to represent a new subclass, this would well be termed nortonite , with the symbol A 2 no.
