More than 8,500 gm. (15 1/4 lb.) of the oxidized crust of the Willamette, Clackamas Co., Oregon, siderite (C.N. = 1226,454; cl. = Om) have been recovered from the recently excavated crater in which that meteorite lay. This material, of hardness 6 and average specific gravity about 3.8, is described, and the disposition that has been made of it is recorded.
