C. H. Smith's assertion that “The main facts are against the possibility that this little aerolite was carried into the area by Indians and there discarded or lost; …” is shown to be without foundation. Accordingly, Smith's plea for an all‐out search of the inhospitable and unpromising Puente‐Ladron area is without justification. In view of the failure of continued search in this region to result in additional finds, it would be more reasonable to exhort meteoriticists to increased activity in areas known to be meteorite‐strewn fields.
