It is suggested that variations in the lunar earthshine may be due at times, in part at least, to intense meteoritic activity on the Moon. In view of this possibility, it may be worth‐while to record the intensity of the earthshine, especially when rich showers of meteors are observed to be in progress here on the Earth.
