Technological changes bring new opportunities and ways of accomplishing goals. One development of interest to foreign language faculty is the computer‐mediated discussion list, which can serve as a teaching tool or an evolving path of scholarly communication. A relevant list of lists is provided. The lists range widely in purpose and content, from broad discussions of teaching effectiveness to news from a particular country, from considering first drafts of scholarly articles to ethnic recipes and dances. Many stress the use of the target language.
