Program planners of new elementary school foreign language immersion programs have similar concerns and questions. These generally relate to understanding what an immersion program is, how it is organized and administered, what the effects of the program on student achievement will be, how immersion programs are staffed, and what instructional materials are available. The purpose of this article is to address twenty of the most frequently asked questions about immersion.
