The article describes a positive reinforcement method in a foreign language course, with special emphasis on the relationship of evaluation to the entire learning process. The article presents a brief analysis of the overall learning process and focuses on the teaching of attitudes and values. The teacher's role in the formation of student attitudes is given primary consideration. The exact nature of the evaluation method is described, and the secondary advantages are discussed. The article concludes with some suggestions and cautions for teachers interested in implementing the ideas.
