  At present the foreign language profession must find ways of attracting and motivating students. Since students are typically interested in the foreign culture, we would do well to capitalize on that interest. The authors believe that an excellent way of accomplishing this is to hold a festival in which the activities for all or part of a day are organized around the theme of the bullfight. In this article the reader will find general guidelines for planning such an event, as well as recommendations for specific activities.
