. A public goods model of global biodiversity conservation is exposited. Distinguishing features of global biodiversityconservation tasks are identified. Global efficiencyof biodiversityconservation is discussed and some comparative statics of efficient programs provided. The transfers required from high‐existence‐value, low‐conservation‐productivitynations to low‐existence‐value, high‐conservation‐productivitynations, to realize global efficiencyin conservation effort, are analyzed.
