Input constraints exist in almost all real‐world systems and frequently cause unexpected undesirable phenomena, such as performance degradation or instability. Although many studies have focused on this problem, precise performance analysis of whole control systems with constraints is still difficult. In this paper, such control systems are represented as piecewise affine systems, and global and local L 2 incremental gain analysis methods via piecewise quadratic storage functions are presented.
