A bstract — A wooden device is described for fixing periodontal instruments during sharpening and ensures precise maintenance of their cutting edges. The angle formed by the cutting edge is critical for satisfactory instrumentation of root surfaces. The device enables the instrument to be positioned and sharpened at the correct angle and protects the surface on which sharpening is performed.
