A bstract — A one‐year clinical evaluation was carried out on 36 fractured incisors which had been restored with synthetic resin in children. Seventeen teeth were restored with a conventional composite resin and nineteen with a microfine filled resin. Although some early handling problems were encountered with the microfine filled material, the final results suggested that the overall performance of this material was superior to the conventional composite, particularly in respect of abrasion resistance and body discolouration.
