A bstract — A technique is presented for the design and construction of claspless partial dentures retained by the use of cobalt samarium magnets in the denture strategically placed opposite to attracting magnets placed in the lingual crown structure of abutment teeth. The magnets must be protected from oral fluids by encapsulation in a thin tough impervious material to prevent corrosion and decrease in magnetic properties.
