A bstract — The results of 4,379 administrations of methohexitone to 2,722 patients by the minimal incremental technique are presented. The ages ranged 4–74 years: 1,129 were males and 1,593 females and of those 53 and 114 respectively received more than three administrations. Mean duration of treatment ranged from 8 to 32 minutes and the mean dosage was 151 mg. The most common complications were restlessness and respiratory difficulties. The results suggest that diazepam as a supplement did not prevent restlessness.
