A bstract — Reports received from 32 dentists on the effect of a complex mixture of calcium sucrose phosphate and calcium orthophosphate used as a gel, toothpaste, or slurry in relieving pain in hypersensitive dentine show, in 137 patients, complete relief in 112. It was found that in 54 patients the prior use of stannous fluoride prophylactic paste was beneficial.
