A bstract — The patient complained of temporo‐mandibular joint dysfunction and bad taste. A number of hard black objects clumped together were removed from a large swollen erythematous tonsil. Radiographic examination and electron and optical micrographs demonstrated their structure and density, and an atomic absorption test showed: 10 per cent calcium.
