Much of the time at the Hong Kong consultation was devoted to discussion in smaller working groups of five aspects of the life of NCCs today. Records of these discussions were given to a drafting group, who prepared short syntheses of the insights shared in the groups on each of the themes. After discussion of each in plenary, these texts were then revised to take account of further comments. The five brief reports that follow were not officially “adopted” by the consultation, but they do represent the tenor of the discussions there.
