We invited several friends of the ecumenical movement to contribute brief articles on what they considered to be the two main trends or events in ecumenical history since Amsterdam, and on what they thought a third such trend or event would be. The following articles, all of them written from a personal perspective, were received in response to our request. Together they witness to the rich diversity of the ecumenical reality.
