Christ compares him self to the vine, and his disciples to its branches, saying, “ I am the vine, ye are the branches.” Paul com pares the church to our natural bodies, I. Cor. 12:12, saying, “ For as the body is one, and hath many mem bers; and all the mem bers of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is C hrist.” A nd in the 27th verse he says, “ Ye are the body of Christ and members in particu lar.”
