Cheirostylis gunnarii (Orchidaceae) is described from Arunachal Pradesh, India as a new species. This is closely allied to C. moniliformis but differs in epiphytic habit, short scape, pubescent flowers and flat broader stylids. The species is named in honour of Gunnar Seidenfaden, Denmark.
