ISSN 0107–055X. During the research project “Cryptogamic Flora of Tierra del Fuego”, a new species of Mallomonas has been found. It is described here as M. fuegiana , and is placed in the section Torquatae , close to Mallomonas schwemmlii and M. dickii .
