The identity of Maerua macrocarpa Chiov. (Capparaceae)

It is argued that the original material of Maerua macrocarpa consists of elements from three different species: M. denhardtiorum, Thilachium thomasii and Capparis tornentosa . A lectotypification is proposed that makes M. macrocarpa a synonym of M. denhardtiorum .
