An amended description of Gymnostachyum knoxiifolium C. B. Clarke is given. Reasons for its transfer to Cosmianthemum Brem. are discussed and the new combination published. Pseuderanthemum parviflorum Ridl., Ptyssiglottis parviflora (Ridl.) Ridl., and Sphinctacanthus malayanus Ridl. are sunk into its synonymy.
