This article details strength‐based practice that was recently developed in the juvenile justice field for work with challenging (mandated) adolescents. This approach blends the strengths perspective and the solution‐focused brief therapy methods to offer field workers the “one‐two punch” of theory and methods. This approach will be outlined by discussing six principles organized around the “ABCs” of: Accountability‐Action, Believing‐Brief and Cooperation‐Competency. The article closes by describing four advantages of this approach for direct practice.
