Summary This paper describes and evaluates disinfection techniques of dialysis monitors available in our dialysis unit. We demonstrate disinfection techniques with regards to the risk of human error. To achieve a high hygienic standard and to support the safety and efficiency of each disinfection procedure, we emphasise the use of single‐use‐disinfection cartridges.
