Summary This paper will look at how our haemodialysis unit educates selected patients with their self‐care regimen. Each patient has their own level of understanding and compliance in maintaining their own lifestyle. This provides renal nurses with challenges when pursuing patient education. This paper will highlight some of the problems encountered when teaching patients with learning difficulties.
