Purpose To describe a case of acquired trichomegaly and hypertrichosis after treatment with epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors (EGFR TKI’s). Methods A case‐report. Results We describe the case of an 88‐year old patient treated for metastatic lung carcinoma with EGFR TKI’s. A few weeks after treatment with Afatinib, she presented with a painful squamous blepharitis. Her eyelashes were abnormally long and abundant. After trimming of the eyelashes, lid hygiene and topical lubricants the symptoms disappeared. Conclusion EGFR TKI’s are a new type of oral anti‐tumoral agents with ocular side effects such as keratitis, conjunctivitis, blepharitis and trichomegaly. Symptomatic topical treatment can be successful. This case report has already be published. "Aerts L, Lauwers N, Smets RME. Trichomégalie et hypertrichose acquise.
