Purpose The aim of this instruction course is to present the medical and surgical management of chronic corneal melts. Methods Interactive clinical cases. Results Modulation of epithelial wound healing using different technics such as epihelial debridement, inlay and overlay amniotic membrane transplatation, lamellar or penetrating keratoplaty are presented. Conclusion Delayed epithelial wound closure is the main risk factor of sterile corneal melts. Early diagnosis for the medical and surgical management of corneal ulcerations
