Age‐related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is the main cause of vision loss in developed countries. Spectral domain OCT (SD‐OCT) is a non invasive technique providing in vivo imaging of the retina, with a higher resolution than time domain OCT. This SIS will describe the clinical features of exudative AMD with SD‐OCT, including occult choroidal neovascularization (CNV), classic CNV, idiopathic polypoïdal vasculopathy, and chorioretinal anastomosis. The improvement of the resolution of retinal imaging will provide a better classification and explanation of the pathological processes observed during AMD.
