Opsoclonus is a rare but important eye sign. It is the most extreme saccadic intrusion, and exists on a scale including ocular flutter. While flutter is horizontal back‐to‐back saccades without an inter‐saccadic interval, opsoclonus is multidirectional back‐to‐back saccades without an inter‐saccadic interval. Opsoclonus is often accompanied by myoclonus (“dancing eyes, dancing feet syndrome”), and may result from paraneoplastic (anti‐RI), brainstem encephalitis, parainfectious, toxicity, or other systemic conditions.
