Twenty‐eight patients with dacryocystorhinostomies (DCR) a.m. Iliff were examined. 70% of the DCR in patients with idiopatic stenosis and 33% of the DCR in patients with post‐traumatic stenosis had an open DCR. When the catheter was removed 3 weeks or later after surgery the success rates were 93% and 50%, respectively. It is concluded that DCR a.m. Iliff is a simple and reliable method.
