NA‐872 is a bromhexine metabolite. Thirty‐two patients with Sjögren's syndrome were treated with 15 mg × 3 daily for 3 weeks, without effect, compared to placebo, judged by Schirmer I‐test, break up time, Bijsterveld score, cornea sensitivity and bisquit eating time.
