Three out of 56 consecutively admitted patients with traumatic hyphaema. treated conservatively, developed secondary haemorrhage. Of the following 64 patients treated with tranexamic acid, none developed secondary haemorrhage. Statistical analysis, using χ 2 test with Yate's correction showed no statistical difference with regard to the occurrence of secondary haemorrhage between the two groups.
