Summary The dimensions of the schematic eye are discussed using recent data on the curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea and the length of the axis of the eye. The aniseiconia caused by correction of unilateral aphakia by contact lenses is used to find the position of the first principal point of the lens, the total dioptric power of the eye and the dioptric power of the lens.
