Summary Rumination is a maladaptive behavior most commonly found in individuals with mentally handicapping conditions who live in long‐term care facilities. Chronic rumination can have severe medical and dental sequelae. Treatment of dental sequelae of chronic rumination is discussed. Two case reports are presented.
